Description of Work

The Information Systems team maintains, and enhances information systems to support federal reporting, and data-informed decision-making across the division. It provides data and information for required state and federal reporting compliance.


Position analyzes and translates programmatic and business needs into technical requirements using data systems available. Development of new SAS/SQL code, editing existing code to improve query performance and/or reflect service or project changes, designing and automating data reports and measures to evaluate the quality and needs of the system, performing statistical analysis of service claims and other data to guide management planning, and the provision of technical assistance to state and local staff in the analysis and use of data for system management, oversight and improvement. Oversees the design, development, and maintenance of performance measures, dashboards in Power BI, and other analytic tools that provide timely, accurate, and actionable information to internal and external stakeholders. It also involves building expertise in key division business systems areas, integrating efficient and compliant operational and systems processes, and contributing to long term systems planning related to the divisions clinical policy areas.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

Salary Range: $57,983 -$101,470

Recruitment Range: $57,983 -$77,000

The following Management Preferences are not required, but applicants that possess these skills are preferred.

  • Knowledge of business systems, regulations, and processes and how they interact with technology.

  • Knowledge of applicable business information systems, testing methodologies, training, and business system analysis.

  • Ability to use SAS/SQL to develop queries to support data retrieval and analysis

  • Ability to create data visualizations using Power BI

* Position is funded in part through federal funds.

*Position is eligible for a hybrid-teleworking schedule to include weekly onsite work hours
