Job description:

Welder Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding applying proper welding techniques.
Lay out, position, align, and fit components together.
Bolt, clamp and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
Set up equipment and welds parts, using arc welding equipment.
May assemble parts by bolting.
May repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts using cutting torch, straightening press and other hand tools.
The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.

Welder Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a welder, preferably on a construction site.
Must be capable of passing a welding certification test which includes SMAW and FCAW processes.
Must be able to read and comprehend welding instructions.
Must be familiar with blueprints and/or structural drawings.
Must be able to read a tape measure.
Must have all required welding tools necessary to perform the above-listed duties
