<li>This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a personal difference in the global HR-tech space as a <strong>Senior Legal Counsel - Regulatory</strong>, joining our Legal Team. We are looking for a talented and eager regulatory lawyer, who is interested in helping with our team’s mission, namely: <em>to deliver pragmatic and innovative legal solutions for Remote’s products and services, while protecting Remote from unacceptable risk.</em></li>
<li>Remote’s well established Legal team is a bunch of friendly, talented highly motivated lawyers from a whole host of different countries, with some awesome experiences.</li>
<li>This role will sit within the Infrastructure team, which is a sub team within our Legal Team and is principally responsible for:
<ol>
<li>ensuring compliance with industry regulations and legal standards, and facilitating the adaptation of business models in the 95+ countries Remote operates in;</li>
<li>unlocking new customer segments and driving market expansion;</li>
<li>partnering with cross-functional teams (Product, Operations, Finance, and Compliance) to identify regulatory risks early, design compliant solutions, and enable scalable, efficient business operations.</li>
<li>developing internal policies, training, and frameworks to embed regulatory compliance into daily operations.</li>

<h2><strong>What you bring</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction</li>
<li>Interested in working for a tech-scaleup and specifically HR-tech</li>
<li>Proven experience in regulatory law, with a strong understanding of legal compliance, regulatory submissions, and interactions with regulatory authorities.</li>
<li>Experience working cross-functionally with operations, finance, product, and other teams.</li>
<li>Extensive knowledge of global employment laws and regulatory environments.</li>
<li>Ability to provide strategic legal advice that aligns with business objectives and drives product innovation and commercial success</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to identify potential regulatory issues and develop practical, proactive solutions</li>
<li>Ability to learn and master Remote's communication application (Slack), contract management system (ContractsPodAi), documentation sources (Notion, Google Drive, etc.), and task management system (KissFlow)</li>
<li>Writes and speaks fluent English, strong knowledge of another language(s) can be an advantage</li>
<li>Ideally both law firm and in-house experience but this is not a strict requirement</li>
<li>It's not required to have experience working remotely, but considered a plus</li>
</ul>
<h2><strong>Key Responsibilities </strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Provide regulatory guidance and counsel to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.</li>
<li>Develop and implement regulatory strategies to support business objectives and mitigate risks.</li>
<li>Assist in the development and implementation of internal policy and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant laws and regulations.</li>
<li>Manage regulatory submissions and interactions with regulatory authorities.</li>
<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate regulatory requirements into product development and business operations.</li>
<li>Conduct regulatory risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.</li>
<li>Provide training and support to internal teams on regulatory compliance matters.</li>
<li>Advise on regulatory aspects of business transactions and partnerships.</li>

The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.<br><br><em data-stringify-type="italic">At Remote, we foster internal mobility as a key element of our culture of employee growth and development, supported by a compensation philosophy that guarantees pay equity and fairness.
