Full Stack Engineer

The Role

Primary job function for an associate software engineer within my team is to perform discretionary development on existing or new projects. The candidate will have to work in a team setting often spanning multiple regions as the overall team is divided between Westlake, Texas, and Merrimack, NH. In addition to strong technical abilities, this role mandates good communication and documentation skills and an ability to understand and accurately implement systems requirements for many discretionary efforts.  We are utilizing agile methodologies Kanban and Scrum for development and all requirements are documented via user stories.  Our group handles our own production support and application build out for much of our environments.  Therefore this associate needs to be comfortable switching gears from development to production support to QA to  infrastructure build out.

The Expertise You Have

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.

• 1-2+ years of experience working in technology or a related field.

• Experience in Java, Spring framework, Spring boot, Restful Service is a must.

• Experience with Angular UI, TypeScript, HTML.

• Experience in Github, Insomnia and CI/CD pipeline is a must.

• Experience with production support is a must.

• Docker and Kubernetes experience is a strong plus.

• AWS experience in services like IAM, S3 and Lambda is a plus.

• Knowledge in SQL and data analysis

• Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code.

• Very good communication skills with ability to do internal demos and presentations.

• Basic knowledge or prior experience in the financial services domain a plus
