You’ll work closely with Sales, Partnerships, Services and other key stakeholders to drive efficient contracting, enable growth, and help teams make informed decisions. Additionally, you will have experience with other areas of the law, including employment law, IP, and corporate. Join us in shaping a scalable, efficient, and business-aligned legal function at Prolific — ideal for someone who is adaptable, clear-thinking, and driven to make meaningful impact.   What you’ll bring to the role <ul> <li style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">3-5+ years PQE; US-qualified </li> <li style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Significant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements (in-house or private practice).</li> <li style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Confident engaging with counterparties across the UK, US, and Europe.</li> <li style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience supporting RFPs/tenders, ideally including public sector and academia.</li> <li style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Experience with labor and employment laws</li> <li style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Ability to streamline contracting processes and develop playbooks, templates, and training.</li> <li style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Strong communicator able to translate legal issues clearly for non-legal stakeholders.</li> <li style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Comfortable working independently and under pressure, with excellent stakeholder management skills.</li> <li style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">General understanding of data protection laws is a plus</li> </ul>      What you’ll be doing in the role  <ul> <li style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Lead on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts with clients, suppliers, and partners.</li> <li style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Maintain and improve standard terms, templates, and contracting processes to speed up deal cycles.</li> <li style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Support RFPs and tender submissions, particularly for government and academic institutions.</li> <li style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Provide clear, commercially focused legal advice to internal stakeholders.</li> <li style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Develop contracting playbooks, training materials, and scalable legal workflows.</li> <li style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Collaborate closely with Sales and other key stakeholders to support commercial aims and risk mitigation.</li> <li style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Coordinate work with external counsel when needed.</li> <li style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Advise on labor and employment law, and worker classification </li> <li style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Advise on broader commercial matters as they arise, including marketing, IP, and consumer issues.</li> </ul>   Why Prolific is a great place to work We've built a unique platform that connects researchers and companies with a global pool of participants, enabling the collection of high-quality, ethically sourced human behavioral data and feedback.
