Join our team and make an impact by helping the North Carolina Department of Revenue in our transformation efforts. We are looking for a skilled Administrative Assistant to work in the Transformation Management Office, located in our Raleigh Headquarters. This is a full-time, permanent position with a hybrid remote work schedule and State benefits, including health insurance, paid vacation, paid sick time, paid holidays, and retirement. The minimum starting salary is $41,206.

The Administrative Assistant TMO position will provide administrative support to the Transformation Management Office. The position will work closely with the TMO Functional Program Director and Technical Program Director and oversee all HR functions of the TMO, including time administration, liaising with the Agency’s HR Division, executing employee and contractor actions, maintaining TMO organizational information, and communicating HR information to TMO employees. The position will also coordinate meetings, coordinate supplies, and other assigned tasks.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences

  • Ability to work independently and perform all duties with a minimum of supervision

  • Ability to create and analyze reports and various forms of data and make independent decisions about the appropriate action required

  • Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications

  • Has excellent organizational skills as well as verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to follow oral and written directions with precision and exercise good judgment in decision making

Recruitment Range: $41,206 - $56,660

Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification. Minimum Education and Experience

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
