Hotel Indigo Gatlinburg Downtown is looking for a friendly, energetic, and dependable Barista to join our team at Bear Trail Café!

We are seeking someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. As a Barista, you will help create a welcoming atmosphere for hotel guests and visitors while preparing quality coffee beverages, serving fresh food items, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve specialty coffee beverages, espresso drinks, teas, and other café offerings.

• Provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service.

• Take guest orders and accurately process payments using the POS system.

• Prepare and serve breakfast items, pastries, and grab-and-go selections.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked café.

• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.

• Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to management.

• Assist with opening and closing procedures.

• Work collaboratively with the Food & Beverage team to ensure smooth daily operations.

• Address guest questions and concerns professionally and promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous barista, coffee shop, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently during busy periods.

• Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.

• Ability to operate a POS system and handle cash and credit card transactions.

• Willingness to learn beverage recipes and preparation standards.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform typical café duties.

• Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
