Job Summary

The New Accounts Representative is responsible for assisting customers in opening new accounts, processing account changes, and providing information on various banking products and services.

Essential Functions

• Assist Customers with Account Opening: Guide customers through the account opening process, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected and accurate.
• Process Account Changes: Update customer account information, such as address changes or beneficiary updates, in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide Information on Banking Products: Educate customers on the different products and services offered by the bank, recommending solutions that meet their financial needs.
• Address Customer Inquiries: Respond to customer inquiries regarding their accounts or banking services, resolving issues or escalating as needed.

Working Conditions

The New Accounts Representative primarily works in a climate-controlled bank environment. The position involves regular interaction with customers and may require standing or sitting for extended periods.

Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to stand, sit, and move around the office to assist customers. It may also involve occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds of paperwork or office supplies.

  • Previous experience in the new accounts position required.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field
  • Previous experience in new accounts or retail banking
