Night - Medication Aide (Universal Worker II) | Part-Time - Eventide Prairie Commons Senior Living

Eventide Prairie Commons Assisted Living in Grand Island is currently hiring for a Part-Time Universal Worker II (Medication Aide (MA40)). The scheduled hours for this position is 6pm-6am (12 Hours). This position also includes an every Third weekend and holiday rotation.

The Medication Aide requires an active, good-standing MA40 and CNA license required.

Ideal Candidate: 

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred. 
• Active CNA license in the state of NE required
• Active MA40 license in the state of NE required

Essential Job Duties: 

• • Provides assistance with activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation and continence.
  • Assists with Senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers and orientation of new employees.
  • Follows department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
  • Prioritizes assignments, making adjustments throughout shift to meet frequently changing/ overlapping Senior/client/caregiver/TEAMember/manager needs, call lights, when necessary.
  • Performs work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Eventide, regardless of TEAMember preference.
  • Follows through on the comprehensive care plan/service plan as developed for each individual senior/client.
  • Complies with HIPAA regulations regarding privacy by insuring that Protected Health Information (PHI) is safeguarded at all times.
  • Additional essential functions while utilizing a MA40:
    • Prepares and administers medications and treatments, under the direction of the RN, within scope of practice as ordered by the physician and according to facility policies/procedures.

Compensation: 

At Eventide, we value our employees and offer a competitive starting pay range of $17.00-$19.04 per hour for Universal Worker II's based on qualifications, experience, and location. Shift premiums and differentials are also available, for select positions, paid on employment status and shift worked.
