Job description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Principal Product Designer based in United States.
This is a highly strategic design leadership role focused on shaping the future of AI-powered prospecting experiences.
You’ll connect outbound prospecting, AI-driven lead qualification, and demand generation into a cohesive end-to-end experience.
Working across product, engineering, and design teams, you’ll influence product strategy and establish a clear vision for a complex ecosystem.
You’ll design systems rather than isolated screens, simplifying sophisticated workflows while preserving the needs of different users.
The role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to define emerging interaction patterns for agent-based and AI-powered experiences.
You’ll also guide senior designers, build alignment across teams, and influence stakeholders at the highest levels of the organization.
As the prospecting space evolves, you’ll have the freedom to identify new opportunities where your expertise can create the greatest impact.
- Define and champion a forward-looking product design vision for end-to-end prospecting, connecting outbound, inbound AI qualification, and demand-generation experiences across multiple products.
- Design cohesive systems and workflows across complex product ecosystems, balancing simplicity and usability with the underlying technical and business complexity.
- Shape product strategy by partnering closely with product, engineering, and design leaders, challenging assumptions and introducing new approaches to how go-to-market teams operate.
- Lead through influence across multiple teams and disciplines, building alignment among stakeholders with different objectives, priorities, and perspectives.
- Guide and collaborate with senior and staff-level designers, helping establish shared design direction and raising the quality of cross-product experiences.
- Explore interaction models and design patterns for AI-powered and agent-based workflows, helping define how users interact with AI, tools, and systems of record.
- Consider practical constraints including usage and cost predictability, data quality and availability, privacy, legal requirements, automation, and user control.
- Maintain a strong customer focus while translating complex business and technical challenges into intuitive, scalable product experiences.
- Identify new areas of opportunity once the core prospecting problem space is addressed, proactively directing design energy toward the highest-impact challenges.
- Extensive experience as a product designer, typically with 12+ years of experience, or an equivalent level of expertise demonstrated through a different career path.
- Strong systems-thinking skills, with experience designing across multiple products, complex workflows, platforms, or established ecosystems with significant scale and surface area.
- Demonstrated ability to connect fragmented experiences into cohesive end-to-end journeys and translate complex systems into intuitive user experiences.
- Advanced interaction design expertise, with an understanding of how different user types, such as administrators and end users, have distinct needs and behaviors.
- Proven experience influencing product direction and communicating a compelling design vision to senior stakeholders, including VP-level audiences.
- Strong storytelling, presentation, and communication skills, combined with the confidence to advocate for a clear point of view and bring others along.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives, navigating ambiguity, and building alignment without relying on direct authority.
- Experience mentoring or guiding senior designers and contributing to a high-performing, collaborative design culture.
- Demonstrated interest in AI-powered or agent-based experiences, with the ability to think critically about how AI changes user expectations, behaviors, and interaction models.
- Comfortable operating in an evolving environment where AI design patterns, workflows, and best practices are still emerging.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating product design thinking, systems-level problem solving, interaction design, and meaningful product impact is required.
- Deep expertise in sales, marketing, CRM, or prospecting is not required; relevant domain knowledge can be developed on the job.
- Specialized visual design expertise beyond the ability to work effectively within established design systems is not required.
- Annual cash compensation range of $269,360–$384,800 USD, including applicable base salary, commission, and bonus components depending on role eligibility.
- Potential eligibility for equity compensation through restricted stock units (RSUs), depending on the position.
- Comprehensive benefits and perks designed to support employees’ professional and personal growth.
- Healthcare and other employee benefits as part of the overall compensation package.
- Flexible work options, with opportunities to work remotely or from an office depending on the role and location.
- Support for building strong relationships with colleagues through in-person onboarding, team gatherings, product summits, and other connection-focused events.
- Accommodations and alternative arrangements are available for candidates who require support due to disability, travel limitations, or other circumstances.
- An environment centered on autonomy, trust, customer focus, continuous learning, bold thinking, and meaningful professional growth.
- Compensation is tailored to factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, responsibilities, and geographic location.
