Southern Health Partners (SHP) is hiring a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Paramedic for our healthcare team at Rockingham County Jail. You’ll provide compassionate care in a safe, structured setting, work with a supportive team, and make a difference for an underserved population.

Qualifications

🩺 What You’ll Do

• Assess patients and respond to routine and urgent healthcare needs.
• Administer medications and treatments within your authorized scope of practice.
• Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the medical provider.
• Accurately document assessments, treatments, and medication administration.
• Assist with emergency response and coordinate patient care.
• Maintain medication accountability and complete clinical records.
• Follow established clinical protocols, policies, and safety standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and correctional staff to support quality patient outcomes.

✅ What We’re Looking For

• Current North Carolina LPN license or applicable Paramedic certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Sound clinical judgment and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• A team-oriented attitude and commitment to compassionate patient care.
• Correctional healthcare or emergency medical experience is a plus, but not required. We’ll provide training to help you succeed.

No cape required. A steady hand and a good clinical brain will do just fine.
