What You'll Be Doing

• Assist experienced mechanics with inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing quarry equipment and mobile machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance on crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps, and other production equipment.
• Learn safe maintenance practices, lockout/tagout procedures, and equipment operating standards.
• Support equipment reliability by identifying maintenance needs and reporting mechanical issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while contributing to efficient quarry operations.

What Are We Looking For

• Mechanical aptitude with an interest in learning equipment maintenance and repair in an industrial environment.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment under supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new mechanical systems and maintenance practices.
• Dependable team player with effective communication skills and a commitment to safety.
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently when needed, and adapt to changing operational priorities.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and comply with all company safety requirements and policies.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.

Physical Demands of the Job

• Frequently stand, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and work on uneven terrain.
• Regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials, tools, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Perform bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and twisting throughout the workday.
• Work at varying heights and in confined spaces while following safety procedures.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment requiring manual dexterity and coordination.
• Maintain visual and auditory awareness to safely work around heavy equipment and moving machinery.
