Job Summary

The Commercial Laundry Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility, including production areas, offices, restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms, and common areas. This role ensures compliance with company cleanliness standards and workplace safety requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and maintain production floor areas.
• Empty trash and recycling receptacles throughout the facility.
• Clean windows, doors, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness around industrial laundry equipment.
• Restock restroom and cleaning supplies.
• Clean employee locker rooms and maintain sanitary conditions.
• Assist with facility organization and housekeeping projects.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns to management.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures and sanitation guidelines.
• Operate cleaning equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or industrial cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work in a warm industrial environment.
• Must be capable of performing repetitive cleaning tasks throughout the shift.
