We are looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic teacher who has a genuine love for working with children under the age of five. The ideal candidate understands best practices in early childhood education, can create engaging learning experiences, and can build trusting relationships with young children.

Our teachers play an important role in supporting each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development while preparing them for kindergarten success.

Teacher Responsibilities

  • Provide engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences using a variety of teaching techniques, including storytelling, educational play, music, and media.
  • Observe and document children's development while supporting social skills, independence, and self-esteem.
  • Encourage positive interactions, cooperation, and respectful behavior among children.
  • Follow the company's curriculum and lesson plans to create meaningful learning experiences.
  • Support children's development of early academic, artistic, and practical skills, including shapes, numbers, colors, crafts, and other age-appropriate concepts.
  • Maintain an organized classroom schedule and provide active supervision to ensure children's safety at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized classroom that meets health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate professionally and effectively with co-workers and administration.
  • Follow all applicable DSS, DHEC, and Aspire Early Learning Academy policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Work effectively as part of a small teaching team.
  • Create a warm, nurturing, and positive classroom environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to learn.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, sanitation, and classroom supervision guidelines.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and instructional skills.
  • Ability to positively guide children's behavior and help resolve conflicts appropriately.
  • Patient, friendly, dependable, professional, and even-tempered.
  • Creative and enthusiastic about working with young children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Successful completion of required Central Registry, SLED, and FBI background checks.
  • Completion of ECD 101 or willingness to complete the course within six months of employment. The company will pay for the required course.

Benefits

  • Paid DSS training — up to 15 hours
  • Weekly direct deposit every Friday
  • Convenient payroll access through a website or mobile app
  • Conference and professional workshop opportunities
  • PTO accumulation — up to 40 hours per year
  • Nights and weekends off
  • Holiday pay after successfully completing the 90-day probationary period
  • Paid Telehealth and Mental Health benefits while employed
  • $25,000 company-paid term life insurance policy while employed
  • Optional Vision, Dental, and Whole Life Insurance
  • Optional 401(k) plan with a 100% employer match after one year of employment
