Detail Technician

**Detail Technician** Lighthouse is looking for an individual who exudes a servant heart, has a good work ethic, and good communication skills. The best candidates have a high attention to detail and love the finished work of a great looking car or truck! **Summary** Detail Technicians go the extra mile to clean dealership and customer vehicles (both inside and out) and a job well done is a vital part of Lighthouse's great customer service. **Pay:** $16-$18 per hour **Hours:** Monday through Friday 7 AM to 3 PM **Benefits:** - Health insurance with employer contribution. - Dental, Vision and Life insurance. - 401k with matching employer contribution. - Employee discounts on repair and purchase. **Essential Duties** - Wash vehicle exterior, clean interior and exterior windows and wipe down doorjamb. - Apply wax to auto body, wipe or buff surface. - Vacuum interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris. - Clean upholstery, rugs and other surfaces, using appropriate cleaning agents, applicators and cleaning devices. - Apply revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with spot and stain resistant chemicals. - Clean engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents. - Apply special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgement and following product manufacturer's recommendations. - Inspect vehicles for noticeable defects, such as dents, scratches, torn upholstery and poor mechanical operation. - Restore appearance of engine area, rugs, upholstery and painted surfaces - use touch-up paint, dyes, and other appropriate materials. - Use proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection. - Fill vehicle with fuel. - Apply dressing on tires and tire wells. - Replace missing or defective small parts. - Ensure proper stickers are displayed in vehicle's window - removing all window stickers on sold vehicles. - Keep work area neat and clean and operate all tools and equipment in a safe manor - reporting safety issues to management. - Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** - Valid Driver's License. - High School diploma or GED or 1-3 months related experience and/or training. - Experience with professional detailing preferred. - Experience in a dealership setting preferred. **Lighthouse Strategic Values** The following are Lighthouse Buick GMC Strategic Values; we recognize these strategic values as critical to our business success and are listed below in order of importance: 1. *Principles:* The Bible will be our compass and our guide. 2. *Ethics:* The implementation of Biblical Principles as demonstrated by Jesus Christ. 3. **Employees:* Create an atmosphere where people like to come to work.* 4. **Customers:* Exceed customer expectations and we will grow "Customers for life."* 5. **Profit*: We are committed to perpetuating this business into and through the next generation, for the long-term benefit of all of our families within the organization.
