Job description

Position Summary

The Memphis Regional Employer Success Hub Director leads employer engagement and partnership development across the Memphis area to expand access to registered education apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship pathways. Working as part of Lipscomb University’s TEACH apprenticeship intermediary, the Director connects education employers with established apprenticeship programs and regional workforce partners, supports employer participation, and strengthens the pipeline into education careers. The position focuses on regional outreach, coordination, and growth rather than independently developing or registering apprenticeship programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and coordinate the Memphis Regional Employer Success Hub and maintain a regional employer engagement plan.
  • Build relationships with school districts, early learning providers, charter networks, workforce development boards, postsecondary institutions, and other regional partners.
  • Connect interested employers to existing registered apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship pathways and coordinate referrals with program partners.
  • Help employers understand apprenticeship participation, work-based learning expectations, mentor roles, and available resources; refer regulatory or registration questions to appropriate program and compliance staff.
  • Develop regional recruitment and referral pipelines for prospective apprentices and support employer–candidate connections.
  • Coordinate with apprenticeship program staff and student support personnel to connect apprentices and employers with advising, wraparound services, and licensure-pathway information.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Clinical Experiences and program partners to support employer-based mentors and clinical placement coordination, as appropriate.
  • Maintain timely, accurate records of employer outreach, partnerships, referrals, apprentice starts, and other assigned outcomes in RAPIDS and other required reporting systems.
  • Participate in regional events and regular coordination meetings with TEACH intermediary leadership; communicate emerging employer needs and barriers.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in education, workforce development, business, or a related field preferred (confirm required minimum with Human Resources).
  • At least five years of relevant experience in education, workforce development, employer partnerships, talent pipeline management, or a related field.
  • Experience collaborating with school districts, early learning providers, or postsecondary educator preparation programs.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, facilitation, and project-management skills.
  • Working knowledge of educator licensure pathways and registered apprenticeship models, or ability to develop that knowledge quickly.
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned region; occasional statewide travel may be required.

Reporting relationship, work location, employment classification, compensation, and grant-funded appointment terms to be confirmed before posting.
