POSITION OVERVIEW:

Modesto Toyota is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our team! This position focuses on assisting customers with their vehicle maintenance and repair needs while providing excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate will serve as the main point of contact between customers and Service Technicians, helping customers understand recommended repairs, maintenance services, and associated costs.

Responsibilities include scheduling service appointments, communicating repair updates, recommending necessary services, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Greet customers and assist with vehicle service and maintenance needs.
• Consult with Service Technicians regarding recommended repairs and maintenance services.
• Explain vehicle repairs, service recommendations, and estimated costs to customers.
• Schedule service appointments and coordinate vehicle drop-off and pick-up.
• Recommend additional maintenance services based on vehicle needs and manufacturer guidelines.
• Communicate with customers regarding repair progress, service updates, and estimated completion times.
• Maintain positive customer relationships to encourage customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Prepare and review repair orders, explain service charges, and process customer payments.
• Coordinate with Service Technicians and the Parts Department to ensure necessary parts are available.
• Follow dealership policies, safety procedures, and California Bureau of Automotive Repair guidelines.

COMPENSATION

Expected Annual Earnings: $50,000–$150,000, including commission. Actual earnings vary based on individual performance.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a customer-oriented environment.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
•  Employment may be subject to a background check following a conditional offer of employment, in accordance with applicable law. 
• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Basic knowledge of vehicles and automotive maintenance.
• Willingness to learn and expand automotive knowledge.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to lift, bend, and stand as required by the position.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Work in a fast-paced automotive dealership service environment.
• Regular interaction with customers, Service Technicians, and other dealership departments.
• May be required to move between indoor and outdoor service areas.
• Must be comfortable operating and moving customer vehicles as needed.

WORK LOCATION: Modesto Toyota – Modesto, California. Travel to other locations may be required.

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

WORK SCHEDULE: Schedule may vary based on business needs. Weekend and holiday availability may be required.
