Class A CDL Driver

## Position Overview We are seeking a Class A CDL Driver responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer and delivering customer orders to scheduled locations. The driver will ensure accurate, timely deliveries, provide professional customer service, and return the empty trailer to the distribution center. This position may also include backhaul pickups as assigned. **Schedule: Return Home Daily** ## Responsibilities - Complete pre-trip inspections, route/itinerary reviews, temperature checks, and required documentation. - Safely operate a tractor-trailer and complete scheduled customer deliveries. - Assess customer sites for potential hazards and follow safe delivery procedures. - Verify orders, obtain customer signatures, and provide professional customer service. - Complete backhauls as assigned. - Perform post-trip inspections, fueling, trailer securement, DVIRs, and required logs. - Attend required meetings and complete company training and assessments. - Follow all applicable regulations, DOT requirements, and company policies. - Perform additional duties as assigned. ## Qualifications & Requirements - Valid Class A CDL with required endorsements and DOT qualification. - 1+ year of commercial driving experience preferred; food delivery experience a plus. - High school diploma/GED preferred. - Basic reading, writing, and math skills. - Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. - Reliable, professional, safety-focused, and customer-service oriented. **EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER:** Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
