Buildings and Grounds Technician – Mountain Creek

Location: Vernon, NJ         Reporting to: Buildings and Grounds Manager

About Mountain Creek:

Mountain Creek, a four-season resort, offers skiing/snowboarding, bike park, waterpark, weddings, mountain coaster, restaurants and lodge.

How the Buildings and Grounds Technician works with the Team:

The Buildings and Grounds Technician is responsible for day-to-day general maintenance of the resort, including but not limited to plumbing, electric, carpentry, and troubleshooting all systems.  

Team Member Responsibilities:

• Perform day to day general maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electric, and carpentry)
• Preventative maintenance of all systems (i.e. Heating, air conditioning)
• Be able to respond to work orders and directions in a timely manner
• Work in all types of weather when needed
• Tree trimming as needed.
• Be able to interact with other departments to accomplish Resort objectives
• Work in a safe manner protecting both yourself and others
• Troubleshoot and repair all systems
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Team Member Qualifications:

 

 

• High School diploma required.
• Must have mechanical aptitude with strong plumbing and HVAC skills
• Be able to lift in excess of 50 lbs
• Applicants must be able to work flexible schedule, including weekends in-season, and overtime when needed
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Trade school or 2-5 years work experience in the field
• Be able to read and interpret instructions and manuals as needed
