# CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver –HOURLY + STOP PAY # CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver – Fontana, CA ### Pay Details & Schedule - **Hourly Pay:** $19.25 - **Stop Pay:** $18.71 per stop - **Average Workload:** Approximately 3–6 loads per day - **Home Daily** - **Night schedules available:** - Sunday–Thursday, or - Tuesday–Saturday - Drivers generally use their full 11-hour driving time; shifts may extend to the full 14-hour on-duty window depending on freight demands - 10-hour breaks between shifts ### Job Details - Local intermodal container freight secured on chassis - Routes across the Inland Empire and Los Angeles area, with some northbound trips through the Grapevine to the Shafter and Lebec areas - Operations use multiple rail ramps in the greater Los Angeles area - Mix of drop-and-hook, live loads, live unloads, and preloaded freight - **Slip-seat operation:** trucks are parked at the San Bernardino yard - Automatic dispatch; drivers do not choose their routes - Required northbound deliveries and pickups are part of the account ### Job Requirements - Valid Class A CDL - Minimum **3 months of tractor-trailer experience** - First-seat/experienced drivers - Clean driving record - Valid DOT Medical Card - No SAP drivers - Must be able to follow assigned routes and work the required night schedule
