Cashier PM Shifts / Intercontinental Downtown Los Angeles

Job Purpose:
- The PT Cashier at SELIG PARKING is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling payment transactions and ensuring the smooth operation of the parking facility. The role requires attention to detail, accuracy in cash handling, and a commitment to maintaining a welcoming environment for all customers.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the cash register and handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately.
- Provide courteous and professional customer service to all patrons, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that arise.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier station and surrounding areas.
- Monitor and report any discrepancies in cash handling or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
- Assist in the opening and closing procedures of the parking facility, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a seamless customer experience and support operational needs.
- Uphold company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Required Experience:
- Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred.
- Experience in handling cash transactions and balancing cash drawers.
- Familiarity with parking operations or similar environments is a plus.

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail for accurate cash handling.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and courteously.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, especially during peak hours.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address any customer inquiries or issues promptly.
