Parts Counterperson

The Parts Counter Person is responsible for helping retail customers, wholesale clients and service technicians find, order and purchase the correct Ford parts and accessories.

Parts Counter Person Responsibilities:

• Answer incoming phone calls and greet retail customers and service technicians to identify parts needs and provide accurate quotes
• Use computer catalogs and inventory databases to locate the correct parts for specific vehicle makes and models.
• Order, track and inventory parts shipments. 
• Track back orders and returns.
• Notify customers or service manager when parts have arrived

• Stock shelves and conduct routine inventory counts.

Parts Counter Person Requirements:

• Previous experience at a Ford dealership is a plus

• Ability to identify the problem quickly

• Knowledge of automobiles

• Effective analytical and communication skills

• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills

• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications

• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Basic computer skills

• Positive, friendly attitude 

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid Driver's license

• Experience with auto parts sales (preferred)

• Strong organizational and time management skills

• Detail-oriented, have a professional appearance and strong work ethic
