Job description

What We Need
CORPAY is currently looking to hire a Master Data Management & Vendor Success Leader within our Operations division. This position falls under our Corpay Payables’ Data & Analytics line of business and is located in Atlanta, Nashville, or Beaverton offices. In this role, you will responsible for the strategy, governance, quality, and day-to-day effectiveness of the master data that supports our business operations, while also overseeing the daily operations and execution of the Vendor Success team.

This leader will step into an established MDM function and Vendor Success operating model, taking ownership of teams whose work directly impacts real-time operational processes across Corpay Payables. The Leader will provide strategic direction while remaining close to the data, systems, workflows, partner activities, client enablement processes, and business operations required to identify issues, resolve root causes, and ensure critical data and vendor-related processes are accurate, trusted, accessible, and fit for purpose.

The Leader will define and advance the MDM strategy and operating model while partnering closely with Operations, Technology, Engineering, Product, Finance, Analytics, Vendor Success, and other business stakeholders. This role will be accountable for strengthening data governance and stewardship, improving data quality and consistency, advancing MDM and metadata capabilities, ensuring master data supports operational execution, analytics & reporting, and emerging AI use cases, and ensuring

Vendor Success operations are well-controlled, measurable, and aligned to business priorities.
Success requires a leader who can move comfortably between executive-level strategy and detailed data and operational discussions; someone who can establish standards and direction, develop strong teams, influence across the organization, and roll up their sleeves when a business, data, partner, or client issue requires deeper investigation.

You will report directly to SVP of Operational Excellence and regularly collaborate with teams and departments.

How We Work
As a Leader you will be expected to work in an office environment. CORPAY will set you up for success by providing:

Assigned workspace in Atlanta, GA or Brentwood, TN office.
Company-issued equipment + remote access

Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:

Owning and continuously evolve the MDM strategy, roadmap, operating model, and priorities for Corpay Payables, aligning investments with business and Data & Analytics objectives.
Leading, mentoring, and developing the MDM team, establishing clear accountability, performance expectations, development objectives, and a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
Remaining actively engaged in the data, systems, and operational workflows, personally helping investigate complex data issues, validate root causes, and determine appropriate solutions when needed.
Serving as the senior point of accountability for the quality, consistency, availability, and appropriate use of critical master and reference data across the organization.
Establishing and maintaining enterprise data governance standards, policies, controls, and decision rights governing the creation, modification, use, retention, and lifecycle of master data.
Defining clear data ownership and stewardship models and partner with business leaders to ensure appropriate accountability for data quality within individual domains.
Leading or actively participate in Data Governance Councils and steering forums, helping prioritize data issues, resolve ownership questions, and drive adoption of governance standards.
Overseeing key master and reference data domains, primarily focused on vendor data which drives significant value, as well as payment, customer, product and other operational data critical to Corpay Payables.
Partnering closely with Operations to ensure MDM processes support day-to-day business execution and to rapidly identify and address data issues that may affect operational performance.
Overseeing day-to-day operations of the Vendor Success team, ensuring clear ownership, prioritization, service-level expectations, and execution discipline across recurring operating activities, escalations, and cross-functional support needs.
Providing leadership for Vendor Success partner-management responsibilities, including ongoing operating relationships, enablement, exception reporting, cancellation/biller-update processes, and data-pull or match activities with partners such as Billtrust, Boost, BillGo, and Rampart.
Overseeing client-management and enablement activities for iPay, Fiserv, and related client programs, including vendor communications, daily payment-file reviews, monthly matching, vendor/RPPS enablement and tagging, campaign data preparation, campaign analysis, and support coordination.
Leading Vendor Success data, reporting, and operational visibility efforts, including dashboard development, daily and weekly flip metrics, campaign analytics, performance reporting, and executive-level insights that improve enrollment, vendor engagement, and operational outcomes.
Ensuring effective management of Bizpay MDM and matching activities, including Cortex active batch matching, ACH match outputs, vendor record upkeep, recipient address validation, continuous vendor-overlap monitoring, and BIN-block processes.
Maintaining strong operational support practices for Vendor Success, including partner and enterprise vendor escalations, support-case assistance, phone-number and RPPS trace-number research, ticket-system development, ticket assignment, SOP ownership, systems access, source/configuration control, and continuous process improvement.
Establishing data quality standards, service-level expectations, scorecards, and key performance indicators that provide visibility into data health and drive measurable improvement.
Leading data profiling, cleansing, standardization, deduplication, enrichment, entity resolution, and harmonization efforts across large and complex datasets.
Identifying recurring data defects and work across Data & Analytics, Operations, and Technology to address underlying process or system causes rather than relying solely on downstream data correction.
Defining and continuously improve master data creation, validation, approval, exception-management, and maintenance workflows to improve accuracy, control, and processing efficiency.
Establishing appropriate standard operating procedures, controls, documentation, and auditability across critical MDM processes.
Overseeing the selection, implementation, enhancement, and ongoing optimization of MDM technologies and related data-management capabilities.
Partnering with Technology, Enterprise Architecture, and Engineering to ensure MDM solutions integrate effectively with enterprise platforms, data pipelines, operational applications, and cloud data environments.
Partnering with Analytics, BI, Data Engineering, and AI teams to ensure master data is sufficiently accurate, governed, documented, and contextualized to support advanced analytics and AI-enabled use cases.
Ensuring MDM practices support applicable data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
Ensuring processes to identify, monitor, communicate, and mitigate data risks, quality issues, dependencies, and operational impacts are in place and effective.
Translating data-management priorities and technical issues into clear business implications, recommendations, and decisions for senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
Developing executive-level reporting on MDM performance, data quality, program progress, risks, adoption, and business outcomes.
Driving organizational adoption of MDM and data-governance practices by establishing practical standards that improve control and trust without unnecessarily slowing business execution.
Managing external technology and service-provider relationships, and vendor commitments.
