Prep Chef - Fairfax

The Prep Chef is responsible for carrying out a variety of cooking and food preparation tasks. This role involves coordinating daily kitchen activities to ensure meals are prepared, served, and stored efficiently and in accordance with established food service guidelines and safety standards.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Current Food Handler’s license
• 1 or more years of commercial kitchen experience
• Intermediate proficiency in basic computer skills
• Intermediate knowledge of electronic food and grocery ordering systems
• Willing and able to lift 30lbs or more and stand for long periods of time

General Qualifications

• Required to show relevant work history in following recipes, menus, and standardized preparation instructions
• Must have all-inclusive customer service skills
• Skillset that is beneficial to serving large groups
• Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance that positively represents the Osage Nation Health System
• Requires a high level of personal integrity and ethics
• Requires a high level of problem-solving skills
• Must always maintain confidentiality
• Requires ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs
• Requires good interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
• Requires willingness and ability to learn new skills and attend training sessions
• BLS certification or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Must be able to pass drug/alcohol testing
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record – may be required to drive GSA or Nation vehicles
