Physical Therapist Assistant | Therapy and Rehabilitation | Full-Time, Benefits Eligible

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Therapy and Rehabilitation team! This is a full-time, benefits eligible position.

What You'll Do:

• Work under direction of Physical Therapist to administer outpatient and inpatient physical therapy treatment techniques (e.g., exercise, moist heat, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, gait training, manual therapy, etc.) to restore body functions, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of body part.
• Instruct patients in care and use of braces, canes, crutches, or prosthetic devices.
• Record pertinent information in medical record with cosignatory of supervising Physical Therapist.
• Actively communicate pertinent patient information to supervising Physical Therapist.
• Direct patient care activities of Physical Therapist Aides.
• Participate in training programs for other Allied Health departments in the hospital.
• Assist with completion of special projects as required and/or assigned.
• Develop and demonstrate knowledge of current advances in Physical Therapy to maintain professional competency through literature review, peer review or continuing education.

What You'll Bring/Requirements:

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program of study.

• Licensed by the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Athletic Trainers Board to practice Physical Therapy Assisting in the state of Ohio. 

• Ability to attain American Heart Association BLS certification within six (6) months of employment and maintain continuous certification.
