Candidates must be a member of the applicable union or be willing and eligible to join the union as a condition of employment.** The Construction Laborer – Grade and Pave will perform tasks involving physical labor at building, highway, and heavy construction projects, tunnel and shaft excavation and demotion sites. May operate hand and power tools of all types; air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying, and measuring equipment and a variety of other equipment and instruments. May clean and prepare sites, dig trenches, set braces to support the sides of excavations, erect scaffolding, clean up rubble and debris, and remove asbestos, lead, and other hazardous waste materials **Reports to** Foremen **Key Communication Partners** Foremen, Superintendent **Typical Duties** **Qualifications** To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
