The Chalet Bar & Grill Lead supports the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing daily operations of the Lower Lodge pub-style eatery and bar. This hands-on leadership role ensures smooth service flow, quality food and beverage preparation, and compliance with Michigan liquor regulations. The Bar & Grill Lead plays a key role in maintaining a friendly, efficient, and guest-focused environment while providing guidance and oversight to seasonal staff.  The Swiss Valley staff works as a team, so you may also assist other departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee bar and grill operations during assigned shifts, ensuring timely food and beverage service.
• Support and coach team members in guest service, cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Monitor bar compliance with Michigan liquor laws and responsible alcohol service practices.
• Assist with ordering, inventory tracking, and restocking of bar and kitchen supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming pub environment.
• Monitor and maintain facilities.
• Communicate staffing or operational needs to the Food & Beverage Manager.
• Step in to assist in food preparation, bar service, and special event execution as needed.

Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old by 11/1/2026 to apply.
• All employees age 18+ will complete a background check upon hire.
• Organizational and multitasking abilities are needed for this position.
• Complete Tips and ServSafe training upon hire.

Pay Rate:

• $18.50 per hour
• Employees may receive a pay raise with each year of experience working at Swiss Valley.
