RN After Hours (41076)

Hinds LifeCare, one of the most well-known and well-respected nonprofit agencies in California’s Central Valley and a pioneer in the practice of hospice and palliative care, is seeking an After Hours RN to join our team. 

As a member of the interdisciplinary team the Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing services to patients served by Hinds LifeCare. The registered professional nurse receives direction and supervision from the Clinical Manager and/or designee. This position will take calls on evenings, weekends or holidays from patients and families and make home visits as appropriate, attending to After Hours needs for our patients and families/Caregivers. Visits may include but are not limited to: Admission visits, Comprehensive visits, PRN visits, Imminent Death visits, Death visits, and Tuck-in Visits.

Qualifications for this position include but are not limited to: 

• Completed a professional nursing program accredited by the National League for Nursing (prefer completion of a baccalaureate program in nursing)
• One year experience in acute care facility or community health agency, (hospice experience a plus)
• Current RN Licensure and CPR Certification
• Valid drivers license, auto insurance, reliable transportation and a willingness to use personal vehicle in the course of employment
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (i.e., Push, Pull, Lift/Carry 35lbs)
• Available to work Friday - Sunday 4p-12:30a (regular); on call 12:30a-8a (call time/call duty)
