  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans and prescribe medications as appropriate.

  • Perform common urgent care procedures such as laceration repair, incision and drainage, splinting, wound care, foreign body removal, and other office-based procedures within scope of practice.

  • Recognize patients requiring a higher level of care and facilitate appropriate transfer or referral to the Emergency Department or specialty services.

  • Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, preventive care, and follow-up recommendations.

  • Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record.

  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and ancillary staff to provide coordinated, patient-centered care.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain clinical competency through continuing education.

License/Certification Requirements

  • Current California NP or PA license required.

  • Furnishing Number and DEA registration required.

  • National certification required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum one (1) year of NP or PA experience in an Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Primary Care required.

  • Experience managing patients across the lifespan.

  • Experience performing common urgent care procedures.

  • Experience with Epic electronic medical record preferred.

Why Cedars-Sinai?

  • Practice in a collaborative, team-based environment alongside exceptional physicians and advanced practice providers.

  • Care for a diverse patient population in a modern, well-equipped urgent care setting.

  • Access to leading specialists and seamless care coordination across the Cedars-Sinai network.

  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

  • Opportunities for professional development, continuing education, and career advancement.

  • Join an organization consistently recognized for clinical excellence, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to exceptional patient care.
