Staff Software Engineer, Medical Imaging

Location: San Francisco Bay Area (onsite)

Pay: $190,000–$280,000 + bonus + equity

A venture-backed, commercial-stage medical device company is hiring a staff engineer to own the imaging pipeline behind every clinical result it delivers.

What you'll do

• Own the cloud imaging pipeline: ingestion, registration, segmentation, analysis

• Develop new targeting algorithms and AI methods

• Run and scale the pipeline on AWS with containers and infrastructure as code

• Cut runtime and extend the pipeline to new clinical uses

• Work within medical device design controls, and mentor engineers

What you bring

• 5+ years of software engineering, much of it on imaging or scientific data

• Expert Python and Git

• MRI data (DICOM, NIfTI) and quality control

• Neuroimaging toolkits such as ITK, ANTs, FSL or FreeSurfer

• Strong scientific computing and statistics, and ML taken to production

• MS in CS, engineering, physics or math, or equivalent experience

Nice to have: AWS Batch and GPUs; IEC 62304; deep learning for medical imaging
