Shipping Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Shipping Manager to lead a high-volume outbound distribution operation. This role oversees Shipping Supervisors, Shipping Coordinators, and hourly associates while ensuring safe, accurate, and on-time shipment of customer orders. The ideal candidate is a team builder, exceptional communicator, trainer, mentor, and hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment during a critical period of operational growth and transformation.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead, coach, train, and develop Shipping Supervisors, Shipping Coordinators, and hourly employees.• Build a highly engaged, accountable, and customer-focused team.• Oversee daily shipping operations including order fulfillment, dock activities, freight scheduling, carrier management, shipment tracking, and shipping documentation.• Ensure orders are shipped accurately, safely, and on time while meeting productivity and service objectives.• Manage labor planning, workflow execution, and operational priorities to achieve daily performance goals.• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, quality, cost reduction, and customer service.• Partner with Operations, Customer Service, Transportation, and Inventory teams to resolve issues and improve execution.• Promote and enforce safety standards, company policies, and operational procedures.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.• 5+ years of leadership experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse, or distribution operations.• Proven ability to lead teams in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.• Strong knowledge of shipping processes, freight carriers, warehouse operations, and WMS systems.• Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
