Administrative Specialist II

Position Title: Administrative Specialist II 

Location: Fort Detrick, Frederick, MD

Clearance required: ADP III (IT-III) designation minimum per DoD 5200.02; favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI); U.S. citizenship required for .mil domain access.

Scope of Work: Provides administrative and management support documentation, customer building access, reception, and travel coordination to the CDMRP, working under minimal supervision and interacting with program managers and science officers. 

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Create and edit documentation and management support materials using Microsoft Office. 
• Provide customer building access control, answer telephones, and perform receptionist duties. 
• Prepare travel documentation using the Defense Travel System and process all travel claims. 
• Coordinate customer courier and mail service and deliver mail as appropriate. 
• Interact with customer program managers and science officers to carry out administrative support functions.

Qualifications

• Ability to prepare and edit management support documentation using Microsoft Office 

• Experience with the Defense Travel System and travel claim processing 

• Able to work under minimal supervision 

• U.S. citizenship; able to obtain a favorable NACI and ADP III designation
