Always Best Care Senior Services is seeking a reliable and compassionate caregiver to assist a client in their home in Bedford, TX. We are looking for someone who enjoys providing personalized care, engaging in conversation, and helping clients maintain their safety and comfort.

The client is friendly and enjoys social interaction. They have mild cognitive impairment and are at risk for falls, making attentiveness, patience, and safe mobility assistance important qualities for this position.

Please Note: This home is a heavy indoor smoking environment. There are also four cats and one dog in the household. Applicants must be comfortable with cigarette smoke exposure and working around multiple pets.

Shift Information

• Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Night Shift: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Pay: $17 per hour
• Shifts may be scheduled on weekdays and weekends
• Applicants must have flexible availability to accommodate scheduling needs

Job Duties

• Assist the client with personal care and activities of daily living
• Safely support walking, transfers, and mobility using a gait belt
• Help reduce fall risks and maintain a safe living environment
• Provide companionship through conversation and daily engagement
• Offer reminders and reassurance when needed
• Perform light household tasks to keep the home organized
• Observe and communicate any changes in the client's well-being
• Support daily routines while promoting the client's comfort and independence

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience with gait belt transfers is required
• Experience working with clients who have cognitive challenges or mobility concerns is preferred
• Must be comfortable in a home with frequent indoor cigarette smoking
• Must be comfortable around four cats and one dog
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient attitude
• Dependable, observant, and committed to client safety
• Able to provide care independently in a private residence
• Reliable transportation and punctuality
• Willingness to work 12-hour day or overnight shifts
• Must be flexible to work both weekdays and weekends
