Food & Beverage Attendant (Part-time) at Home2 Suites

Job Summary

 

The role of the Food & Beverage Attendant is responsible for ensuring that all required foods, beverages, and service materials are maintained at a consistently stocked and ready for service.

Primary Responsibilities & Essential Functions

• Perform the assigned opening and closing duties
• Ensure all foods are stocked throughout shift while operating a buffet style meal
• Ensure all beverage options are stocked throughout shift while operating a buffet style meal
• Assist food runners as needed
• Attends to guest are attended to in a prompt, efficient and personalized manner
• Provides level of service consistent with established standards in every aspect
• Provides additional services and answers requested by the guest
• Maintains organized and clean work area.
• Clear tables and eating areas of trash or food left behind by guests
• Controls inventory through conscientious use and careful monitoring

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs  
• Ability to read, write, speak, and communicate in basic English preferred  
• CPR Training (can be obtained after employment)  
• Must be at least 18 years old (to serve alcohol)  
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Some former restaurant experience preferred

• Detail oriented and thorough   
• Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards  
• Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests  
• Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant friendly way  
• Ability to multitask    
• Ability to identify different drinks and menu items correctly  
• Ability to work as part of a team  

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must be able to carry trays of food or drinks
• Must be able to stay on feet for entire shift
• Frequent walking, bending, stooping

Working Conditions

• Indoor and/or outdoor
• Possible exposure to extreme heat or cold depending on season
• Exposure to slippery floors and surfaces
