Medical Records Scanning Specialist (per diem)

Location: Westborough, MA - Spectrum's Corporate Office 

Schedule: Per Diem (as needed)

Pay Rate: $15.00-$17.00/hour

The Medical Records Scanning Specialist is responsible for:

• Prepareing, scanning, indexes, and quality-checking patient records in the electronic health record system
• Ensuring documents are complete, legible, accurately categorized, timely processed, and handled in compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality, security, and records-retention requirements while supporting Health Information Management operations

Qualifications

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or GED required; related coursework in health information management or medical administration is preferred.
• Experience with medical records, document imaging, data entry, or administrative support is preferred; training may be provided.
• Experience with Netsmart’s myAvatar solution is helpful.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, document-management applications, scanners, standard office software, HIPAA, patient privacy, and records-retention requirements.
