Position Summary

The Nurse Manager is a hands-on clinical leader responsible for guiding and supporting the delivery of exceptional resident care at Oakwood Assisted Living and Gardens Memory Care. Working in partnership with the Director of Assisted Living and LPN Nurse Supervisor, this role helps ensure residents receive compassionate, individualized care while maintaining compliance with state regulations and Ridgecrest Village policies.

The Nurse Manager serves as a trusted resource for residents, families, and team members through clinical oversight, assessments, RN delegation, staff development, care plan support, and clinical coaching.

What You'll Do

• Provide clinical oversight, resident assessments, and ongoing monitoring of resident health and well-being.
• Collaborate with residents, families, physicians, pharmacies, therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure quality care.
• Support the development and implementation of individualized service plans.
• Provide RN delegation, coaching, mentorship, and education to nursing staff and caregivers.
• Conduct competency evaluations and support orientation and training initiatives.
• Promote regulatory compliance, infection prevention, quality assurance, and best practices in resident care.
• Serve as a trusted resource and advocate for residents, families, and team members.

Qualifications

Required

• Current, unrestricted Iowa RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain.
• Nursing experience in assisted living, memory care, long-term care, skilled nursing, home health, hospital, or related healthcare settings.
• Strong assessment, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to provide clinical supervision, delegation, coaching, and education.
• Willingness to participate in RN on-call rotation and occasional weekend or holiday coverage.

Preferred

• Assisted living or memory care experience.
• Supervisory, charge nurse, or leadership experience.
• Experience with nurse delegation, service planning, and staff competency training.
