Associate, Fitness Instructor

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create a welcoming class environment, including greeting all students, learning names, and building connections
Teach high quality fitness classes in designated discipline that attract dedicated fitness practitioners
Provide instruction, modifications, cueing, demonstration, and adjustments or corrections that support students’ participation at all levels of experience
Help maintain a clean, organized, and comfortable class environment
Accommodate different levels of fitness and abilities by offering modifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Current GroupX certification relevant to the class discipline and/or nationally recognized certified personal trainer (ACE, NASM, NSCA, ISSA)
Ability to teach regular timeslot consistently, with minimal absences or schedule changes
Ability to support programs by subbing other classes
Effective, proactive communication with gym leadership and other fitness instructors, especially when planning time away or coordinating subs
Have a passion for fitness and an interest in climbing

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Pay range is commensurate with experience and starts at $28.00 per hour
