**About the Position**
Our client is seeking a **Vice President of Product Support** to lead its parts, service, technical training, and product support sales organizations across a multi-branch territory. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this executive will serve on the senior leadership team and oversee approximately two-thirds of the company's workforce.
The Vice President will be responsible for improving operational performance, growing parts and service revenue, managing expenses, strengthening customer relationships, and developing a high-performing workforce. - **Sales & Customer Support:** Develop parts and service sales strategies that help customers reduce equipment ownership and operating costs while improving profitability and customer satisfaction.
- **Mining, Quarry & Aggregates:** Strengthen product support capabilities within these key markets, helping customers improve productivity and reduce their cost per ton.
- **Technical Services & Training:** Oversee technical support resources, troubleshooting assistance, and technician development programs that improve workforce competency and service quality.
- **Performance & Continuous Improvement:** Use KPIs, financial analysis, and operational data to improve productivity, control expenses, increase profitability, and drive measurable results.
- **Cross-Functional Collaboration:** Partner with machine sales, rental, marketing, IT, corporate services, and talent development to align product support with broader business objectives.
- **Talent Development:** Recruit, coach, and develop leaders throughout the parts and service organizations, building accountability, engagement, and opportunities for career advancement.
- **Strategic Planning:** Collaborate with the executive team and OEM partners to establish priorities, implement operational improvements, and support long-term business growth.
**Requirements**
- 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in parts, service, and product support operations.
- Experience with a major equipment OEM or competitive equipment dealership preferred.
- Demonstrated success implementing Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- A proven track record of delivering sustained, measurable improvements in operational performance and financial results.
- Strong analytical capabilities, including experience using data and performance metrics to guide business decisions.
- Experience supporting customers across multiple industries and business sizes, with a focus on improving productivity, equipment performance, and operating costs.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence, develop, and align teams across a multi-location organization.
- A people-first leadership approach that builds trust, promotes accountability, and earns employee commitment.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic initiatives while maintaining a strong focus on customer experience, profitability, and employee development.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory, with occasional out-of-state travel for training and meetings.
