Responsibilities

The Cardiovascular RN provides high quality patient care to the cardiac patient in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital. The Cardiovascular RN acts as a nursing resource as it relates to their area of responsibility in the Congestive Heart Failure Clinic and will support patient care by providing monitoring, support and patient education to congestive heart failure patient population.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nursing Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate License

Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

BSN degree

Five (5) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).

Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) at Northside.

Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.

Staff RN, Heart Failure Clinic (PRN)
