Automotive Title Clerk

South Charlotte Chevrolet and Rock Hill GMC are hiring an experienced Automotive Title Clerk. If you know both South Carolina and North Carolina title work and take pride in getting every deal right, we want to talk to you, and we pay top dollar for the right person.

What you’ll do

Retail title processing

• Review title applications on retail sales for accuracy
• Confirm funds have been collected before title work is processed
• Prepare tax and title documents according to state guidelines
• Register new and used vehicles in the state where they’ll be titled
• Submit all legal transfer work to the DMV
• Review trade-in and purchase titles for accuracy

Wholesale and dealer trades

• Bill out dealer trades and prepare MCOs for transfer
• Bill out wholesales and prepare titles
• Sign over titles to wholesalers once they’ve paid in full
• Flag any uncollected wholesale funds to management

Compliance and administration

• Maintain the tax and title fee schedule
• Maintain dealer tag records and renewals
• Report outstanding title issues to management every week
• Keep up with changes to SC and NC title regulations
• Direct the title runner’s daily routine

What you’ll need

• Previous dealership title experience (SC and NC experience strongly preferred)
• Active NC or SC notary commission
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines across two states
