CDL Truck Washer

**Job Overview** We are seeking a dependable and hardworking **Truck Washer** to join our team. This position is responsible for washing and maintaining commercial trucks while assisting with basic shop duties as needed. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, takes pride in quality work, and is willing to learn and grow within the company. **Job Type:** Full-Time **Pay:** $17.00–$24.00 per hour (based on experience) **Schedule:** 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, plus a half-day on Saturday. Overtime opportunities available. This role also participates in a rotating on-call schedule (approximately once per month) with the rest of the team. **Responsibilities** - Wash and clean commercial trucks and trailers to company standards. - Inspect vehicles during cleaning and report any visible damage or maintenance concerns. - Perform basic preventative maintenance and assist with minor mechanical tasks as assigned. - Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. - Operate equipment safely and follow all company safety procedures. - Participate in the rotating on-call schedule (approximately one week/month, shared among the team). - Work overtime when needed to meet operational demands. **Qualifications & Requirements** - **Valid Class A CDL is required.** - Previous truck washing, detailing, or commercial vehicle experience is preferred but not required. - Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus; willingness to learn is equally important. - Must own basic hand tools or be willing to purchase them. - Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. - Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work, including standing, bending, climbing, and kneeling. - Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. **What We Offer** - Overtime opportunities. - Stable, full-time employment. - Hands-on training and opportunities to expand mechanical skills. - Supportive team environment. **EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER: **Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
