Establish pricing governance, approval processes, and controls to drive consistency and accountability across the organization.
Evaluate existing pricing structures, discounting practices, overrides, and special pricing arrangements; recommend improvements that strengthen pricing discipline and profitability.
Research industry trends, customer buying behaviors, competitor pricing models, and market conditions to inform pricing decisions and strategic recommendations.
Analyze pricing performance, margin trends, and revenue opportunities using data-driven methodologies and financial analysis.
Own and maintain pricing frameworks, including catalog pricing, tier pricing, customer-specific pricing, contract pricing, and other commercial pricing programs.
Partner with Sales and leadership to provide pricing guidance on strategic opportunities, complex customer situations, and large commercial transactions.
Support the development, review, and administration of customer contracts, pricing agreements, renewal strategies, and contract compliance initiatives.
Ensure pricing and contractual commitments are accurately implemented, maintained, and monitored across appropriate systems and processes.
Support bid, proposal, and RFP activities by reviewing pricing strategies, financial assumptions, contractual requirements, and profitability considerations.
Assist in managing rebate programs, pricing incentives, and other customer pricing arrangements as needed.
Collaborate with Product Management, Finance, Operations, and Sales to evaluate pricing impacts related to new products, programs, services, and business initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes, operational efficiency, data quality, reporting capabilities, and system utilization.
Drive implementation efforts associated with pricing technology, governance initiatives, and pricing improvement projects.
Act as the primary liaison with external pricing consultants and strategic partners, coordinating activities and supporting long-term pricing transformation efforts.
Create and maintain reporting, dashboards, and key performance metrics to track pricing initiatives, monitor results against objectives, measure profitability impacts, and support data-driven decision-making.
Provide recommendations to leadership regarding pricing strategy, governance enhancements, process improvements, and commercial best practices.
Support enterprise-wide initiatives involving customer contracts, pricing optimization, pricing governance, and commercial operations.
Additional job duties as assigned.
