Less than part-time Nanny position in RSF

A very nice Rancho Santa Fe family is seeking a warm, dependable, and engaging nanny to care for their 2-year 10-month-old toddler. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children, can assist with simple toddler meals and snacks, and is available for Wednesday mornings and Sunday evenings. 

Job Description

The nanny will provide attentive, nurturing care while keeping the toddler safe, happy, and engaged. Wednesday mornings will include accompanying and supervising the toddler during her tennis lesson, along with helping prepare breakfast and snacks. Sunday evenings will focus on caring for the toddler while the parents enjoy date nights.

The ideal candidate is proactive, reliable, flexible, and comfortable preparing simple, healthy foods for a young child.

Schedule & Hours

• Wednesdays: 8:00 AM–11:00 AM

• Sundays: 5:00 PM–9:00 PM

• Occasional Additional Hours: Other days or times may be available by mutual agreement.

• Start Date: End of November 2026

• Compensation: $35–$45 per hour, depending on experience. The higher end of compensation may be offered for Sunday evening care.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, age-appropriate care for one toddler, age 2 years and 10 months.

• Supervise the toddler during her Wednesday morning tennis lesson.

• Help prepare the toddler’s breakfast and snacks.

• Prepare simple, healthy toddler-friendly foods as needed.

• Provide evening childcare on Sundays while the parents are out.

• Engage the toddler in safe, developmentally appropriate activities.

• Assist with general childcare-related needs and occasional driving or errands as requested.

• Help with pet-related needs as applicable.

• Previous experience caring for toddlers or young children.

• Dependable, safety-conscious, and nurturing disposition.

• Comfortable supervising a toddler during activities outside the home.

• Able to prepare simple meals and snacks for a young child.

• Flexible and open to occasional additional hours when available.

• Excellent references and willingness to complete an advanced third-party background check.

Ideal Candidate

The family is looking for someone warm, responsible, attentive, and easy to communicate with. A candidate who speaks Serbian or French would be especially welcome, although this is not required.
