Maintenance Technician

Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour, based on experience

Comfort Inn & Suites in Tifton, GA is looking for a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the hotel, guest rooms, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our guests and employees.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel and guest rooms.

• Respond promptly to guest and hotel maintenance requests.

• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, lighting, doors, fixtures, and other hotel equipment.

• Perform preventive maintenance to help keep hotel equipment and systems operating properly.

• Inspect guest rooms, common areas, and exterior areas for maintenance issues.

• Perform basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and general building repairs.

• Assist with grounds and exterior maintenance as needed.

• Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and work areas in an organized and safe condition.

• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs.

• Identify potential problems and address them before they become larger or more costly issues.

• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe environment for guests and employees.

• Respond to maintenance emergencies when necessary.

• Work closely with hotel management and other departments to address maintenance needs.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel or general maintenance experience preferred.

• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building maintenance.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests.

• Dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented.

• Professional and courteous when interacting with guests and coworkers.

• Good communication and customer-service skills.

• Ability to perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and working in various areas of the hotel.

• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
