NHC HealthCare Pulaski is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team! This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for our patients, visitors, and Partners.

The ideal candidate will have general maintenance knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing quality service in a healthcare environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the center's buildings, equipment, and grounds.

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and associated costs.

• Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to minimize disruptions to patient care.

• Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to identify and address maintenance and repair needs.

• Assist with repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance projects.

• Follow applicable safety regulations, local codes, and center policies.

• Communicate professionally and effectively with Partners, patients, and family members.

• Participate in on-call duties for after-hours maintenance needs.

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Administrator.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical school education required.

• Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical manuals and instructions.

• Knowledge of general building maintenance, repair procedures, and safety regulations.

• Familiarity with local building codes and ordinances.

• Ability to plan and complete repair, installation, and maintenance projects.

• Basic knowledge of recordkeeping and cost estimating.

• HVAC experience preferred but not required.

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to participate in after-hours on-call assignments.
