Electronic Resources Librarian

South College Library is seeking a part-time Electronic Resources Librarian to join our team. This hybrid remote position is integral to enhancing the student experience by maintaining the library's online infrastructure and resources. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor in implementing and maintaining access to purchased and subscription-based electronic resources. 
• Assist supervisor in maintaining the library authentication system to ensure appropriate access for users on and off campus. 
• Assist supervisor in maintaining the library discovery service to provide single search access to library resources for all users. 
• Add new electronic resources to the library website and discovery service indices. 
• Monitor access to electronic resources through the library website and discovery service to ensure continuous access for all users on and off campus.  
• Maintain familiarity with library electronic resources and service platforms and conduct training for library staff on electronic resources and services.  
• Troubleshoot access and system issues with vendor support and the IT Department, as requested by supervisor. 
• Communicate with the Instructional Design Department on the implementation and maintenance of library electronic resources in the course management system, as requested by supervisor. 
• Collect and report electronic resources usage data to the Director of Library Services. 
• Assist the Senior Electronic Resources Librarian in the management of and staff training for the library web platforms. 
• Provide reference and research services through the library reference system.  

Requirements

Education:

• Master's degree in Library Science or equivalent. 

Experience:

• Prior experience with online library resources preferred.
