Dining Room Supervisor

Join Our Team at Carroll Lutheran Village!

We are currently seeking a dedicated Full-Time Dining Room Supervisor to join our caring and mission-driven community. This position is scheduled between 10:00am and 7:00pm, with shifts typically running from 10:00am- 6:00pm or 11:00am - 7:00pm based on operational needs. The schedule includes one weekday off each week and every other weekend off, providing a balanced and consistent work schedule.

The Dining Room Supervisor oversees café, wait, and sanitation staff to ensure efficient and high-quality dining service. This role also assists with planning, staffing, setup, and breakdown of catering functions to support a seamless and positive dining experience for residents and guests.

What You'll Do as a CLV Dining Room Supervisor:

• Oversee meal service in the main dining room, ensuring timely, attractive, and proper meal delivery with courteous, professional service.
• Ensure all staff maintain clean, complete uniforms and uphold high standards of personal hygiene.
• Plan, schedule, set up, and break down catering functions; assist with menu planning.
• Train and mentor wait staff on proper serving techniques following 5-star service guidelines.
• Provide coaching, counseling, and corrective action as needed.
• Serve as the lead decision-maker in the Dining Room Manager's absence and manage staff callouts.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment while demonstrating respect for facility property and co-workers.
• Comply with all policies and procedures and participate in required training programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need as a Dining Room Supervisor:

Education | Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in food service, including supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of sanitation, safety, and food handling regulations and best practices.
