# Welder/Fabricator **Shift:** 1st Shift | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM ## Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to read blueprints, prepare materials, fit components, and perform welding to produce quality fabricated parts. The ideal candidate has strong fabrication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. ## Responsibilities - Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and cut lists. - Identify structural shapes and materials used in fabrication. - Operate fabrication equipment, including shears, brakes, rolls, ironworkers, saws, welders, forklifts, and overhead cranes. - Fit and assemble parts within specified tolerances. - Perform welding and use hand and power tools as needed. - Maintain reliable attendance and work overtime when required. ## Qualifications & Requirements - **3+ years of fabrication experience.** - **1+ year of welding experience.** - Ability to read blueprints and follow weld symbols. - Experience operating fabrication machinery and material-handling equipment. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety. - Reliable, punctual, and willing to work overtime as needed. - High school diploma or equivalent preferred. **EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER:** Surge is an equal opportunity employer.
