Production Manager

Description

The Production Manager oversees daily ice production and packaging operations to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and consistently. This position is responsible for supervising production employees, monitoring equipment performance, troubleshooting mechanical and operational issues, and maintaining reliable production processes. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee daily ice production, packaging, and related operations to meet production schedules and volume goals.
• Supervise, schedule, train, and develop production employees, establishing clear expectations for productivity, quality,      attendance, and safety.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve mechanical and operational problems with ice-making machines, conveyors, bagging      equipment, and related production machinery.
• Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
• Coordinate specialized repairs, replacement parts, and outside service providers as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous supervisory experience in production or manufacturing required
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience troubleshooting production machinery.
• Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Ability to work in an ice production and packaging environment, including exposure to cold, wet, and noisy conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the production area for extended periods.
• Ability to safely access production machinery and perform hands-on troubleshooting and maintenance as required.
• Ability to work additional hours or adjust schedules as needed to address seasonal production demands or equipment breakdowns.
