What Does a Typical Day as a Caregiver Look Like?

As a Senior Helpers Caregiver, you will provide a helping hand and companionship while supporting clients with their daily needs.

• Enjoy fun and engaging conversations with clients to build meaningful relationships.
• Participate in clients' favorite hobbies and activities, such as scrapbooking, gardening, playing games, and more.
• Prepare meals for clients to enjoy.
• Assist clients with walking, dressing, and other activities of daily living.
• Report completed activities and provide updates regarding clients' physical condition, mental capacity, and behavior.

Caregiver Qualifications

• Must have a driver's license, valid auto insurance, your own reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and a willingness to drive a reasonable distance.
• One year of field experience as a PCA or Home Health Aide is preferred, but we will train the right candidates.
• Be able to pass state and federal background checks and a drug screen.
• Obtain a TB test and physical examination before beginning work. A hiring bonus is available to help with costs.
• Be CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Provide two personal references and two professional references.
• Be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Willing to learn new skills to better the lives of our clients.
• Have proficient communication skills.
• Be able to organize and prioritize assigned tasks.
